ቅድስት ድንግል ማርያም በክርስትና ታሪክ ውስጥ የጌታችን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ እናት፣ እንዲሁም የንጽሕና፣ የትሕትና እና የታማኝነት ፍጹም አርአያ ተደርጋ ትከበራለች። ለእግዚአብሔር ጥሪ በሰጠችው ቅዱስ "እሺታ" (ይሁንልኝ) አማካኝነት፣ የአለም መድኃኒት ክርስቶስ በሥጋ ተገልጦ ለሰው ልጆች ሁሉ የድኅነት ተስፋን አምጥቷል። ምዕመናንም በእናትነት ፍቅሯና በማይነጥፍ ጸሎቷ በመታመን፣ ወደ ልጇ ወደ ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ እንድትመራቸው አፍቃሪ አማላጅነቷን ይሻሉ፤ እርሷም በልጇ ዘንድ ባላት ሞገስ የልባቸውን በጎ መሻት ትፈጽማለች።
"አሕዛብ ሁሉ ብፅዕት ይሉኛል።" (ሉቃስ 1:48)
The Blessed Virgin Mary is honored throughout Christian history as the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ and the supreme model of faith, humility, and obedience. Through her faithful "Yes" (Fiat) to God’s divine call, Christ entered the world, bringing the light of salvation and eternal hope to all humanity. Believers look to her with deep devotion, seeking her maternal intercession and guidance as she leads them closer to her Son. Through the grace bestowed upon her, she remains a compassionate advocate for all who seek her prayers with a sincere heart.

የእንኳን ደህና መጡ መልእክት
ወደ ጽርሐ አርያም ቅድስት ማርያም የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን እንኳን በሰላም መጡ! ቤተ ክርስቲያናችን የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያንን ትውፊት፣ ታሪክና ኦርቶዶክሳዊ አስተምህሮን መሠረት በማድረግ
ዘወትር መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት ትሰጣለች።
አገልግሎቶቻችን፦
የጸሎትና የቅዳሴ አገልግሎት፦ ዘወትር ጧት ከ11:00 ሰዓት ጀምሮ ጸሎተ ኪዳን የሚደርስ ሲሆን፣ በየሳምንቱ እሁድና በበዓላት ቀናት ደግሞ የቅዳሴ ሥርዓተ አምልኮ ይፈጸማል።
ክብረ በዓላት፦ የእመቤታችንን የልደት በዓል (ግንቦት 1)፣ የሰማዕቷ ቅድስት አርሴማን ዓመታዊ በዓል እንዲሁም የነሐሴ ኪዳነ ምሕረትን በደመቀ ሃይማኖታዊ ሥነ-ሥርዓት እናከብራለን።
የሰንበት ትምህርት ቤት፦ ለልጆቻችን ዘወትር ቅዳሜ ከሰዓት 8:00 ሰዓት ጀምሮ የአማርኛ ቋንቋ ትምህርትና የግብረ ዲቁና ሥልጠና እንሰጣለን። በእሁድ መደበኛ አገልግሎት ደግሞ እንደየደረጃቸው የመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ ትምህርት ይሰጣል።
የምክር አገልግሎት፦ ለአባላቶቻችን መንፈሳዊ የምክር አገልግሎት እንሰጣለን።
ኑና ከእኛ ጋር በቤተ ክርስቲያናችን በረከት ተሳተፉ!

Welcome Message
Welcome to St. Mary Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. Our parish is a vibrant spiritual community dedicated to preserving the ancient traditions, history, and teachings of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo faith.
Our Services:
Worship & Liturgy: We conduct daily Kidane (Covenant Prayer) starting at 5:00 AM. Every Sunday and on holy feast days, we celebrate the Divine Liturgy (Kidase) to glorify God and receive His grace.
Annual Feasts: We joyfully celebrate major feast days, including the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Lideta), the martyrdom of Saint Arsema, and the Covenant of Mercy (Kidane Meheret) in August.
Sunday School: We are committed to nurturing our youth. Every Saturday starting at 2:00 PM, we offer Amharic language classes and Deaconship training. On Sundays, children receive age-appropriate Bible lessons.
Spiritual Guidance: We provide pastoral counseling and spiritual support to all our members.

የፍልሰታ ጾም አርብ ነሐሴ ፩ ፳፻፲፰ ዓ.ም. → Friday, August 7, 2026 ይጀመራል እንደተለመደው በቤተ ክርስቲያናችን እንደ ኦርቶዶክሳዊት ቤተ ክርስቲያን እምነትና ሥርአት ከጧቱ በኢትዮጵያ ሰአት አቆጣጠር ፬ ሰአት የውዳሴ ማርያም የቅዳሴ ማርያም ትርጓሜ ይደርሳል እኩለ ቀን ፮ ሰአት ጸሎተ ቅዳሴ ይጀመራ ኑ ከእመቤታችን በረከትንና ረድኤትን እንሳተፍ ልዩ የሱባኤ ጊዜ ይሁንላችሁ።
ነሐሴ ፲፮ ፳፻፲፰ ዓ.ም. → Saturday, August 22, 2026 ታቦተ ህጉ ከመንበረ ክብሩ ወጥቶ የአመት ክብረ በአል በልዩ ሐይማኖታዊ ሥነ ሥርአት ይከበራል።
Filseta Fast (Dormition Fast of the Holy Virgin Mary)
The Filseta Fast will begin on Friday, August 7, 2026.
As is our longstanding tradition, St. Mary's Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Los Angeles will observe this holy fast in accordance with the faith, doctrine, and sacred traditions of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
Daily Worship Schedule
10:00 a.m.
Wudase Mariam (Praises of the Holy Virgin Mary) followed by the explanation and interpretation of the Marian Liturgy.
12:00 p.m. (Noon)
The Divine Liturgy (Holy Qidase) begins.

Annual Feast Celebration
On Saturday, August 22, 2026, the Tabot (Ark) of the Covenant will come forth from its holy sanctuary, and the annual feast will be celebrated with the sacred liturgical traditions and solemn religious ceremonies of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
